The Justice Department’s New Rule on Access to U.S. Sensitive Personal Data and Government-Related Data by Countries of Concern or Covered Persons: A Guide to Determining Whether Your Business is Covered
The U.S. Department of Justice recently adopted a new Rule on Access to U.S. Sensitive Personal Data and Government-Related Data by Countries of Concern or Covered Persons. The rule, referred to by DOJ as the Data Security Program (“DSP”), could have significant implications for U.S. businesses, even those who don’t think of themselves as dealing in “sensitive personal data” or government-related data, or doing business with “countries of concern” such as China, Iran, or Russia. Our team, in collaboration with Cassy Creekman of the Wyrick Robbins Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice group, have published a guide to determining whether your business is covered: https://www.wyrick.com/news-insights/the-justice-departments-new-rule-on-access-to-u-s-sensitive-personal-data-and-government-related-data-by-countries-of-concern-or-covered-persons-a-guide-to-determining-whether-your-business.
